Local Trains Affected

The Mumbai division of Central Railway said that due to heavy rain and waterlogging at several locations between Vidyavihar and Mulund stations, UP and Down slow train services were affected and were running with restricted speed.

“Due to heavy rains and waterlogging, local trains are delayed and operating at a cautious speed. We urge passengers to stay on board as you are safest inside the train. As the water recedes, the train will continue its journey to your destination. Your cooperation is essential for ensuring everyone's safety,” said Central Railway.

However, Western Railway said that local trains on Western line of Mumbai suburban network were running normally.

The northbound traffic on Sion Bridge was affected by a taxi's breakdown, and at Dharavi T Junction, a truck's breakdown affected the traffic.

“These rain bands are so huge and moving in a slow manner that it is likely to cause travel disruptions. TC, Mumbaikars!,” posted X handle 'Mumbai Rains,' which is managed by Rushikesh Agre, an independent weather enthusiast.
