Since the beginning of the game, Jake Paul had been in the lead. While Round 6 of the fight did get a little boring with the two opponents circling each other, it soon turned into a terrific battle after the audience took to ‘Tyson’ chants, making Paul impatient.

Tyson finally accepted his defeat as Paul silenced the chants with a series of jabs. The two were seen hugging each other after the fight, a moment that netizens have hailed as a superb display of sportsmanship.

Jake Paul hails Mike Tyson as the GOAT

The 27-year-old Paul further hailed Tyson as the “GOAT”, and said it was “an honour to be able to fight him.”

The highly anticipated showdown, a battle of two generations, between the legendary former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul took place at the AT&T Stadium in Texas.  The game began at 9pm ET, which is 6:30 am IST, and was livestreamed only on Netflix.

Originally slated for July 20, the fight was postponed after Tyson suffered a medical scare in May. Now, the bout between two strikingly different figures from the worlds of boxing and social media has come to an end after Jake Paul claimed victory.

The ‘Diamond-spiked ear cover’

Mike Tyson, who hasn’t fought since 2005, had been confident about winning his upcoming bout with Jake Paul. In contrast, the 27-year-old Paul had been taunting Tyson by wearing a "diamond-spiked ear cover," a clear reference to Tyson's notorious ear-biting incident during his 1997 fight with Evander Holyfield.
