Virat Kohli is, without a doubt, one of the biggest cricketing sensations that India has ever had, and his stardom is most at display whenever the veteran batter takes the field to represent the country. Currently, Kohli is part of the Indian team that is playing against Bangladesh for the 2nd Test match at Kanpur's Green Park stadium. However, prior to the start of the crucial match, a ground staff member showcased his reverence for the veteran batter in a special way.

Notably, the second Test match in Kanpur was scheduled to start at 9.30 AM, but overnight rain affected the pitch and delayed the start. However, the delay gave the players from both sides time to warm up before the action began.

Kohli was then seen taking to the field with bat in hand, but as he made his way to the practice ground, something unusual happened. A member of the ground staff, who was taking the covers off the field, suddenly approached Kohli and bowed down to touch his feet. The veteran batsman immediately tried to stop the man before his groundstaff colleagues took him away.

Ever since he arrived in Kanpur, Kohli has been showered with love by the fans. In another such video that went viral on social media, a member of staff at the hotel where Team India are staying tried to shake Kohli's hand, but with the veteran batsman carrying a bouquet of flowers and a bag, he had to turn down the request.

Virat Kohli's underwhelming return to Test cricket:

Kohli made his comeback to Test cricket after a one-year absence in the first Test against Bangladesh. However, the star batsman failed to make his presence felt in the match, scoring only 6 and 17 in the two innings. More than his dismissals, what would concern Kohli is the manner in which he got out in the two innings, nicking a ball away from his off stump in the 1st innings and getting dismissed to spin in the 2nd innings.
