Billionaire Mark Cuban recently posted a poll on microblogging platform X asking followers to choose whether Kamala Harris or Donald Trump would be a better role model for their kids.
Taking to X, Mark wrote, “Who's persona and character would you like to see young children grow up to have?”
His poll garnered voting from about 804,173 people. The poll results indicated Donald Trump as a clear winner, as 68.9 percent said that they would like their children to look up to Trump. In contrast, only 31.1 percent voted in favour of Kamala Harris, the US Democratic presidential candidate.
Elon Musk responded to a post by a designer at Dogecoin who criticised Cuban for his post. It read, “There's nothing in the world more dangerous than an idiot who thinks he's a genius [sic].”
In response to the post, Elon Musk said, “The tenacity of his stupidity is a marvel to behold.”
Meanwhile, it is important to note that earlier in July, Cuban was among the more than 200 venture capitalists who publicly backed Kamala Harris' campaign.
Ahead of the Labour Day 2024 weekend, polls showed Vice President Kamala Harris holding a narrow lead over Donald Trump in key battleground states. Former US President and Republican nominee Donald Trump initially made gains against his Democratic challenger, Kamala Harris, in the presidential race. However, according to a report by NBC News, Harris is performing better than Trump in nearly every national survey, even within the margins of error. According to Pew Research, the margin of error represents “how close we can reasonably expect a survey result to fall relative to the true population value.”
The latest Wall Street Journal polls show Kamala Harris getting 48 percent votes, while Donald Trump has consistently polled at 47 percent, within the margin of error.
Earlier in July, the Tesla founder had said that he ‘fully endorses’ former US President Donald Trump and hoped for his speedy recovery after the failed assassination attempt on him at a rally in Pennsylvania.
“I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” Musk wrote on X, along with a visual of Secret Service agents helping Trump getting off the stage.
