Legendary music composer and singer AR Rahman paid tribute to Team India after winning T20 World Cup trophy in his own way. The Oscar-winning singer on Sunday released an ecstatic video of his song ‘Team India Hain Hum’ to congratulate team Indian players.

“Celebrating India’s #T20IWorldCup win. Enjoy our #TeamIndia song performance,” wrote AR Rahman on X while sharing the link of the video.

The original music of the song has been composed, arranged and produced by AR Rahman. The song video was directed by Nazeef Mohammed and edited by Allan Fernandes. DOP credit goest to Ronnel Parmar.

AR Rahman has given several iconic songs in different genres. However, patriotic songs like ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’, Chale Chalo, Rang De Basanti are timeless pieces.

Team India registered a remarkable victory against South Africa on Saturday to lift the ICC T20 World Cup trophy for the second time. The victory ended 17 years of wait for millions of Indians. The collective effort of the Men in Blue helped them achieve victory against South Africa.

A fine exhibition of death bowling by the trio of Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya and stupendous knocks by Virat Kohli and Axar Patel helped India end their ICC trophy drought. They secured their second ICC T20 World Cup title by beating South Africa by seven runs in a thrilling final at Barbados on Saturday.

Proteas were once again left heartbroken, yet to win an ICC title. Meanwhile, India has ended its 11-year-long ICC trophy drought, winning their first ICC title since the Champions Trophy 2013. India is the first team to have captured the title undefeated.

Soon after India's victory in the tournament, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announced their retirement from T20 International Cricket. A day after the match, another senior cricket player, Ravindra Jadeja, announced his retirement from the T20 International cricket format on Sunday.
