A video of a man carelessly overspeeding on a highway and even hitting a biker with his car has gone viral on social media. The viral video has been claimed to be of a health influencer, Rajat Dalal, who can be seen callously driving and remaining unaffected even after knocking down a biker. Mint couldn't independently verify the viral video.
The viral video, which was shot inside the car from a person sitting on the back seat, showed Rajt Dalal speeding his car to as high as 143 kmph on a busy road.
As Dalal continued carelessly overtaking his car, the woman sitting next to him advised him to slow down, but he continued to drive at a dangerous speed. Within a minute, the car knocked down another two-wheeler driver, but Dalal continued driving his car and remained unaffected. Seeing his co-passenger's concern over the accident, Rajat Dalal said, “Koi bat nahi ma'am”. Later, he also added that “ye roz ka hai”
Faridabad police have begun an investigation and assured strict action against the culprit, reported News18. The police had registered a criminal case against the influencer, updated Aditya Chauhan, who introduced himself as a lawyer on his social media account. Mint couldn't independently verify the update.
Several social media users expressed their anger over the video, which captured the influencer's ‘hit-and-run' crime.
“How can he be a influencer?? influencing others By rash driving and dashing other citizens on road or not even concerned and speeding the car..? [sic]” read a comment on X.
“While China and America are making strides, individuals like Rajat Dalal are dragging India's reputation through the mud [sic]” commented another user on the post.
Soon after the video went viral on the internet, the fitness influencer released another video in which he dismissed the accusations and claimed that he doesn't have the data of the same and verified that the video which has gone viral now is “old”.
“A video is going viral where people are showing a lot of anger and frustration. On my part, I would just like to say that I don’t have any data, nor do I have my Instagram account at the moment. I don’t even know where that video came from or how it went viral. The video that’s circulating now is old. I am done with all these controversies, fights, and abuses. I am moving forward in life and focusing on a positive path,” Rajat Dalal said in an Instagram video.
