The Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh on Monday announced the official release of the NIRF Rankings 2023.
In the NIRF Rankings 2023, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru secured the top position in the research category of the NIRF Rankings 2023. IIT Madras, secured the first position as the best engineering college followed by IIT Delhi in second place, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Roorkee.
IITs have maintained their stronghold in the engineering category of the NIRF Rankings 2023, occupying the majority of the top 10 positions.
The NIRF Rankings 2023 are now available for viewing on nirfindia.org. The rankings are based on various parameters, including teaching learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity, and perception.
In the 'Agriculture and Allied Sector' category of the NIRF Rankings, the Indian Agriculture Research Institute, located in New Delhi secured the first position. The National Dairy Institute in Karnal has attained the second rank and the Punjab Agriculture University in Ludhiana has achieved the third position.
The parameters on which institutes are ranked are teaching learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity and perception.
In the field of law, topping the list is the National Law University, Bengaluru, securing the first position. Following closely is the National Law University, Delhi, which has attained the second rank. Securing the third position is NALSAR University of Law, located in Hyderabad.
