Mumbai rains highlights: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Mumbai as some areas may face heavy to very heavy rainfall on Sunday and a red alert for Satara, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, and Ratnagiri.Issuing a red alert for four districts of Maharashtra, the Regional Meteorological Center (Mumbai) said Satara, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri are likely to receive extremely heavy rainfall on Sunday, July 14.Heavy rains lashed Mumbai city on Saturday morning causing waterlogging in several areas of the city including Andheri subway, prompting authorities to undertake water pumping operation and restrict traffic movement.The city authorities issued a ‘high tide’ warning of 3.69 metre at 4:39 pm today. The maximum and minimum temperatures will likely settle around 29 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.The residents must gear up for wet spell over the next few days as an yellow alert is in place after July 14 until July 16.
