The long anticipated wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant kicked off on Friday with a start-studded guest list. The lengthy list of celebrities attending the festivities include Bollywood icons such as Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan as well as global names such as the Kardashians and John Cena.
Anant Ambani — the youngest child of Reliance industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani — is set to marry his longtime girlfriend during a grand ceremony at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The couple will tie the knot on Friday night with celebrations continuing over the weekend.
The Ambani family held a special Shiv Shakti Puja at their residence to seek blessings for the couple ahead of the baaraat festivities. The lavish affair was attended by close family members and Bollywood personalities.
Reality TV stars Kim and Khloe Kardashian arrived in Mumbai on Thursday night while 'Calm Down' sensation Rema was spotted at the airport early on Friday morning. Meanwhile wrestler turned actor John Cena was seen waving at the paparazzi as he entered his car.
Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan touched down in Mumbai around midnight a brief trip to New York. The Dunki star was seen using an umbrella to hide his face from the paparazzi as he exited the airport.
Almost the entire top rung of Bollywood actors – from Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan – were present, most with their families.
Notable arrivals also included 'KGF' superstar Yash, Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas, Ranveer Singh and others. Superstars Rajinikanth, Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu led the entourage from down south.
The three-day wedding extravaganza is the final stop in a string of lavish parties the family has hosted since March. The couple were engaged in January 2023 and the Ambanis have hosted three lavish pre-wedding parties.
