An earthquake of 3.3 magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded in Manipur on Friday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), ministry of earth sciences, the government of India’s official preliminary location report of the earthquake. However, there is no report of damage yet.
According to the NCS, the earthquake struck around 09:28 IST and was measured at 3.3 on the Richter magnitude scale.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was located at Latitude 25.19 North, Longitude 94.31 East, at a depth of 30 kilometres.
Previously, an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter Scale was recorded in Manipur on June 26, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The epicentre of the earthquake was then located in the Bishnupur area of the Bankura district at a depth of 25km.
