In line with Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson Nita Ambani’s vision of sharing India’s rich cultural heritage with the world, the Ambani family will be paying homage to the holy city of Varanasi at the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
In the video, Nita ambani said that it has always been a regular habit of the Ambani family to seek divine blessings before going ahead with any auspicious event. “It has always been important to seek the blessing of our devis and devtas before any auspicious beginning. A few weeks back, I went to Varanasi to pray for my children Anant and Radhika before their wedding,” said Nita Ambani in the video.
The chairperson of the Reliance Foundation further added that she had always been fascinated by Kashi. The city in Varanasi, has been the cradle of the Indian civilization, said Nita Ambani.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to tie the knot at the Jio World Convention Centre. According to reports, the wedding festivities are set to begin around three in the afternoon. The pheras have been scheduled for 9:30pm in the evening.
As the two will get hitched today, top celebrities and personalities from across the world are flying to Mumbai to attend the grand wedding gala. Visuals of Kim and Khloe Kardashian arriving to Mumbai have already gone viral on social media. Earlier, Priyanka Chopra was spotted outside airport with husband and singer Nick Jonas. According to reports, boxer Mike Tyson, former UK prime ministers and global business tycoons are expected to attend the wedding.
Popular Nigerian rapper, Rema, known for his song ‘Calm Down,’has also arrived for the wedding. Rema is reported to have quoted ₹25 crore for his performace, reported Hindustan Times. Singer Luis Fonsi, known for his hit Despacito, is also on the guest list.
Earlier in the morning, Sha Rukh Khan landed in Mumbai after his brief trip to the United States. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, have also reached Mumbai to celebrate Anant and Radhika's wedding.
Several other Indian politicians including prime minister Narendra Modi, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, former president Ram Nath Kovind, will attend the event.
