- “Roti, Beti, Maati ki pukar, Jharkhand mein BJP-NDA Sarkar,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the beginning of his address in Jharkhand.

-Modi encouraged people to support the alliance in a similar way that they did during the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 to form a double-engine government in the state.

-"You formed the BJP-NDA government in the Centre at Delhi for the third consecutive time a few months ago. Now there are assembly elections in Jharkhand, we all have to come together and forme a double-engine government here under the leadership of BJP-NDA," said Modi on Monday.

-While greeting the people for the upcoming Chhath Puja, he said that the enthusiasm for the festival is visible among the state's people.

-"At this time, the enthusiasm of Chhath is visible everywhere. I extend my best wishes to those who worship Chhathi Maiya," he wished, adding that Jharkhand Assembly Elections are being held “at a time when the whole country is moving ahead with the resolution of ‘Viksit Bharat’.”

-Launching a scathing attack against the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led coalition, Modi accused the political group of supporting Bangladeshi infiltrators. He also warned that if JMM continues to enjoy support in the state, then it may lead to a significant reduction in tribal population in Jharkhand, reported PTI.

-"Appeasement politics has reached its pinnacle in Jharkhand, where the JMM-led coalition is busy supporting Bangladeshi infiltrators. If this continues, tribal population in Jharkhand will shrink. This is a threat to tribal society and the country. This coalition has become a 'Gushpaithiya Bandhan' and a 'Mafia ka Gulam'," PTI quoted Modi.

-Accusing JMM of putting obstacles in the way of implementing farmers' welfare schemes in the state, Modi said, “For better facilities in Jharkhand, for farmers, for strengthing industries in the state, the Central government has made all efforts even when the JMM government put obstacles before it. When you will form a double-engine- government here, then development in the state will also take place at double the pace.”

-"If Saraswati Vandana is prevented in schools, you can understand the level of threat. There is curfew during festivals. Durga Puja and all major festivals are being impacted," he added while claiming that JMM, Congress, RJD are using Bangladeshi infiltrators for “vote bank politics”.

-This is Narendra Modi's first visit to Jharkhand after the announcement of the state polls in Jharkhand. The elections will be held in two phases, on November 13 and November 20. The counting of votes will be held on November 23.
