HCL Tech to declare Q2 results on THIS date, consider third interim dividend for FY25: Record date fixed

HCL Tech Q2FY25 Results: HCL Technologies announced on Tuesday that it will declare its July-September quarter results for fiscal 2024-25 (Q2FY25) on Monday, October 14, 2024. India's third-largest software and information technology (IT) service company also announced that the board will consider paying its third interim dividend for FY25 on the same day. The record date for the interim dividend has been fixed on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

‘’We would like to inform you that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the company is scheduled to be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, to consider, amongst others:

1) Unaudited financial results of the company for the quarter and half-year ending September 30, 2024.

2) Payment of the third interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25.

The record date for determining the entitlement of the shareholders for the payment of the aforesaid interim dividend shall be October 22, 2024, subject to the approval of the interim dividend by the Board of Directors," said HCL Tech in its regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on September 17.

HCL Tech Q1 Results

In the preceding April-June quarter of FY25 (Q1FY25), the IT major reported a 20.45 per cent increase in net profit to 4,257 crore, compared to 3,534 crore in the same quarter the previous year. Revenue from operations rose 6.69 per cent to 28,057 crore in Q1FY2025, compared to 26,296 crore in the year-ago period. 

HCL Tech reported an attrition rate of 12.8 per cent for the April to June quarter of FY2025. According to the regulatory exchange filing, the company had a total employee strength of 2,19,401 as of June 30, 2024. HCL Tech also added 8,080 employees, including 1,078 freshers in the June quarter.

HCL Tech dividend history

In Q1FY25, HCL Tech announced an interim dividend of 12 per share of 2 each for FY25. The company set July 23 as the date for the dividend issue to shareholders. “The board of directors has declared an interim dividend of 12 /- per equity share of 2/- each of the company for the financial year 2024-25,” said the company in an exchange filing.

HCL Technologies has declared 90 dividends since September 25, 2000. In the past 12 months, HCL Tech has declared an equity dividend of 54.00 per share. At the current share price of 1,813.7500, HCL Tech's dividend yield is 2.98 per cent. The IT major declared its first interim dividend for FY25 on May 7 and the second on July 23. 

HCL Tech share price trend

On Tuesday, shares of HCL Tech settled 0.09 per cent higher at 1,812.70 apiece on the BSE. During today's session, the IT stock hit its fresh 52-week high at 1,828.60 on the BSE. HCL Tech commands a market cap of 4,91,906.07 crore.

In the last year, HCL Tech has given better returns compared to the Nifty 50, Sensex, and sector index. In the last three months, according to Trendlyne data, HCL Tech's share price returned 26.74 per cent to investors, compared to the Nifty 50's return of 8.32 per cent. In the last year, HCL Tech stock has risen nearly 40 per cent.
