Windows 10 users are facing massive outages globally due to a new Crowdstrike update, which has stopped PCs on the recovery screen. According to reports, the Crowdstrike update has led to massive outages worldwide across airports, companies, banks, and government offices. 

Crowdstrike has acknowledged the issue on its support page, attributing it to its "Falcon n sensor."

Microsoft, meanwhile, is working to mitigate the issue, rerouting traffic to alternate systems to alleviate the impact.

The tech giant has been providing regular updates on the situation through its X handle Microsoft 365 status page. According to the latest posts, the company has made progress in redirecting user traffic, which has improved service availability.

On its X handle Microsoft 365 status, the company posted information on the latest outage and added that it is investigating the issue.

“We're investigating an issue impacting users ability to access various Microsoft 365 apps and services. More info posted in the admin center under MO821132 and on https://msft.it/6019lRURc,” they said.

Microsoft is trying to reroute the traffic affected by the outage.

“We're working on rerouting the impacted traffic to alternate systems to alleviate impact in a more expedient fashion. More info is posted in the admin center under MO821132 and on http://status.cloud.microsoft (SIC),” the X post read.

The company will shift the traffic to healthy systems, it said.

“We remain focused on redirecting the impacted traffic to healthy systems. More info is posted in the admin center under MO821132 and on http://status.cloud.microsoft.”

As Microsoft continues to reroute traffic to stable systems, they have noted improvements in service availability. The company assured users that efforts are ongoing to mitigate the issue, with updates on impacted and recovered services available through their admin center and status page.

“We're still observing a positive trend in service availability while we continue to redirect the impacted traffic. Additionaly info can be found in the admin center under MO821132 and http://status.cloud.microsoft.

“We still expect that users will continue to see gradual relief as we continue to mitigate the issue. The latest information on impacted and recovered services will be provided within the admin center under MO821132 and https://msft.it/6011lRf2J.”
